Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez, Esq.
Mary Luz Rodriguez Alvarez, Esq. was born in Veracruz, Mexico. Before moving to Florida, Mary Luz studied law in La Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. She worked for a civil litigation law firm in Mexico City. Mary Luz is not only proficient in Spanish, but she is also knowledgeable and experienced in both civil Roman law and our common law system.
Mary Luz earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to commencing her legal career, Mary Luz worked in the mortgage industry. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree, with honors, in May 2013 from St. Thomas University School of Law.
While attending law school, Mary Luz worked as a law clerk for Krupnick Campbell Malone, P.A. At Krupnick Campbell Malone, P.A., she worked closely with the partners in the firm on international and domestic civil litigation by performing legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests in cases involving the areas of personal injury, complex products liability, unfair trade practices, class actions and environmental litigation.
Mary Luz is especially passionate about product liability, toxic exposure and contamination cases that adversely affect human health and the planet’s natural resources. She strongly believes now more than ever that clients are in dire need of compassionate, knowledgeable, and competent representation to compensate them for injuries caused by the fault of others. As a young lawyer, she strives to become catalysis for change in our community’s political, social, and legal landscape.
Her diverse background, prior experience, and hard work ethic makes her an exceptional young trial attorney. In pursuit of her passion, Mary Luz was honored to join The McKee Law Group which relentlessly fights for the rights of injured victims.
She was admitted to the Florida Bar in September 2013. She is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. In addition, Mary Luz belongs to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, and Phi Delta Phi – Spellman Inn Chapter.
She enjoys performing community service including pro bono work for Women in Distress of Broward County and Miami Legal Aid.
In 2013, Mary Luz founded Living Sculpture Sanctuary along with her partner. The Sanctuary is a bonsai center and an organic event venue, where hundreds of events have taken place ranging from weddings to corporate seminars. Mary Luz truly enjoys helping others reconnect with Mother Nature, finding balance, happiness and inner peace at all different levels of body, mind & soul.
